Main Library Layout

We've been making a few changes to the Main Library over the summer, re-arranging PITS IT Drop-In Centre so PC users are closer to the Print Station and Helpdesk, and making it brighter with more room for you to browse for books at the South end of the library.

To explore our layout online (in 3D too, if you like!), click here to view our interactive floor plan.

Do let us know what you think of our changes, in the comments box below....

Heritage Open Days

After a stressful first week back on College, why not do something cultural with the family this weekend?

Starting today (6th September 2012) and lasting until this Sunday, some 218 events are taking place around the North-East offering free access to museums, stately homes and historical properties that are usually closed to the public or normally charge for admission.

Welcome...

I'm Richard, Learning Support Librarian at Newcastle College Library Services. Its my job to ensure that the Library has all the books, journals and e-resources (as recommended by our lecturers) in stock and ready for our learners; and to help students make the most of these resources in their research and assignments.

Welcome to the "Library Richard" Blog - an online service by which I can keep you up to date with all our news, let you know about our services, and recommend some resources or approaches to you. It's also a means for you and I to share ideas and tackle any issues that you might come across in your studies / research, particularly if you can't come into College.

Please feel free to just read the blog if you prefer, but I'd particularly welcome any comments or suggestions that you might want to make (anonymously if you like) to individual posts or generally using the Your Comments, Suggestions and Questions... page on the navigation bar below the Blog title above.

Best of luck this year, and I really look forward to hearing from you....
